Transport

We are currently proposing providing 45 on-site parking spaces, carefully designed to support operational needs.

The transport and highways package comprises a £100,000 investment in:

  • Travel planning measures to encourage guests and staff to travel by sustainable modes, and to encourage appropriate car use such as a parking booking system, a taxi booking offer and offer for transfer services to Heathrow Car Parks or airport
  • Traffic management and highway safety improvements to ensure road user safety such as improvements to bus stops, and potential new road markings to prevent inappropriate parking at key locations on Town Lane. Potential support provided to the highway authority to enforce against obstructive or dangerous parking through funding for enforcement officers.
  • A dedicated taxi drop off and pick up space suitable for two taxis within the site to encourage this activity away from local roads.
  • Legal agreements to prevent staff or guests applying for parking permits in any future Stanwell CPZ that might come forward with Heathrow’s Third Runway development.
  • A fully managed hotel car park exclusively for overnight hotel guests. Guests will also be directed to the surrounding long stay parking at the time of booking and will be supported by a shuttle bus service connecting to the hotel, airport, and long stay car parks.
